Past Projects

-Defined the test-system architecture and interfaces.
-Designed the custom PCB, 24 V I/O, control panel, mechanical framing, and internal wiring.
-Wrote the control and user-interface software in C and Python.
-Built, wired, integrated, and verified the tester.
-Produced complete operating and maintenance documentation.

-New and specialized aircraft systems require purpose-built equipment for repeatable testing and maintenance.
-Maintenance testing requires repeatable simulation of the inputs and operating states the aircraft sees.
-Developed portable testers that lets technicians exercise the system through prescribed scenarios consistently and efficiently.

-Completed several consulting projects for Wipaire involving automated aircraft safety systems, system verification, and troubleshooting.
-Designed and built portable test equipment for multiple aircraft programs, including the Fire Boss fire fighting aircraft.
-Integrated operator controls, status indicators, simulated signals, internal wiring, and service access into rugged portable cases.

-Re-engineered a proven DIN-rail control concept as a compact, purpose-built PCB.
-Combined power, relays, field I/O, protection, and service connections in one enclosure.
-Development focus: smaller packaging, lower build cost, and repeatable manufacturing.
-Status: prototype-stage product development; not yet commercially released.

-Redesigned window-control units for a long-standing luxury conservatory and greenhouse customer.
-Improved safety, reliability, and field troubleshooting compared with the previous controllers.
-Integrated Control4 home-automation commands with manual overrides and multi-motor control.
-Helped the customer avoid tens of thousands of dollars in service costs during the first several years of use.

-Spent 6½ years developing automated test infrastructure for clean-sheet diesel aircraft engines.
-Designed, built, wired, and programmed test cells integrating a 100+ sensors and high-speed data acquisition.
-Developed control architecture, instrumentation, harnesses, safety interlocks, calibration methods, and facility layouts.
-Operated complex development tests and diagnosed real-time issues at the complete-system level.
